Next in our calendar:
British Night (26th October 2019)
The first event of our winter programme was held at the club on Saturday 26th October – ‘A British Night‘. Click for images and video clips of a great night.
Presentation Night (23rd November 2019)
Our 2019 Presentation Night Dinner & Dance was held at Berkhamsted Golf Club. Over 70 members were treated to an excellent meal – some said the best we’ve had! – then we celebrated not only the winners & finalists in our own Competitions but toasted the success of our Ladies & Mens teans in winning the W&D Ladies Jubilee Cup & the W&D Griffin Cup respectively to add to individual successes by some of our men in the W&D Mens Competitions. A great night thanks to organisers Anne Furlong, Kevin Clarke, Christine & Paul Sims and the Batchelor ‘Boys!’ Disco. (– Images to follow)
Smiths Coffee Company Talk & Cake (13th December 2019)
A very entertaining talk by Colin Smith about his Company’s long standing coffee business from growth to tasting. His products were tasted alongside cakes provided by Club Members – a great combination!!. Proceeds from this afternoon were divided amongst the club and the Hospice of St Francis.
Skittles Competition (19th January 2020)
This competition was a tremendous success and likely to become a regular event! The winning team & individual proudly display their ‘hard-won’ chocolates!!!!

Darts Competition (Saturday 22nd February 2019)
Another very successful event organised by Sheila Bell and her team. A good evening enjoyed by all.
& The ‘winners’
Lee Rivers 12 Jan 2018 – A great evening of nostalgia and dancing – Enjoyed by all which hopefully will be repeated during 2018.
Quiz Night 10th February – Hosted by Stuart Wesley and his Hemel Hempstead Rotary Club colleagues: Another excellent evening with a close outcome and not too much ‘brain ache’.
Darts Evening 24th February – A re-introduction of friendly rivalry; some images can be viewed by clicking here.
Race Night 17th March – Unfortunately owing to adverse travelling conditions the Clerk of the Course Peter Batchelor cancelled the meeting to guard against a poor attendance; We hope that the meeting will be re-staged later in the year
Walking Treasure Hunt of Berkhamstead with Tea & Sandwiches April 8th – A new venture. Come and find the hidden treasures in Berkhamsted – It should take around 1 and 1/2 hours and after there will be tea & sandwiches (maybe soup!) at the club.
Friends & Family Day 14th July – Our inaugural Friends & Family day was a great success; to see a selection of images from the day click here.
Race Night 6th October – The rerun of the meeting cancelled earlier in the year was well attended and most of the punters went home home happy even if their pockets were a little lighter – but club funds were heavier!
Our 2017 season ended with:
1. Presentation Dinner & Dance at Berkhamsted Golf Club on Saturday 11th November 2017 – It was a very well supported evening enjoyed by all. For some images of the evening click here.
