Carpet Bowls Evening – Friday April 10th

The last winter programme event – Carpet Bowls – was held in the Clubhouse on Friday April 10th. Approx 35 members signed up for the evening which began with a burger & salad meal, before launching into a light hearted and very humourous carpet bowls ‘knock-out competition!’ The key tactic was to cannon the bowls off the table legs that lined the rink! The final was ‘hotly’ contested between Noreen Codina & Tony Howard, in which Tony was victorious.

As always grateful thanks to Sheila & her team of helpers for making the evening another very successful event in Sheila’s Winter programme of Social Events – and one, those who were there, will hope is repeated in the not too distant future.
