In a break with tradition of generally only posting bowls related items I thought this would be an interesting read for all of you following the long term plans for Berkhamsted and its Sports clubs.
The Comrades have been good neighbours and friends to us and in support of a fellow sports club we would like to share this post.

Made it ! Here we are on our last day, hope you've enjoyed the last 23 days and its given you a little distraction from more serious matters. If nothing else hopefully it has given our established members some nice memories and our newer members a little insight to our history.
Thank you all for your patience and support this year, we keep our fingers crossed for 2021 confident that whatever the challenge we will rise to it.
Have the best Christmas you can, love and best wishes to you all. X 🎅👍❤️

To compensate for yesterday being late we've gone early today. This one is mainly for all our supporters, friends and members families who help make our club what it is. In this particularly difficult year we want you to know we are thinking of you all and hope our club is still being a friend to you in some form or another through this winter period.
From everyone who belongs to our Club we wish all our fellow bowls clubs and organisations an enjoyable Christmas and look forward to seeing you all in happier & healthier circumstances. 🎅🎅🎅

Don't panic folks, I haven't forgotten, two more days to go after this. Thought I'd include one of my favourite photos (taken by Brian Ralphs) today of Linda & Sarah sheltering under one of our small tables, always makes me smile.
I do hope the Covid conditions aren't ruining your Christmas plans too much, knowing you all as I do I'm sure you are all adapting and still managing to smile as well.
Until tomorrow ....

Today is the shortest day but certainly not the coldest, so lets focus on every positive we can. Talking of short things I thought we'd have a picture of some our shortest group bowlers at the club, although they are all amusing characters its the two on the left which make me laugh. Their pose reminds me of Laurel & Hardy, think its the crossed legs and the slightly bemused smile that does it.
So, if you needed cheering up which comedian(s) would you want to see on your telly over Xmas ? 😂🤣😅

To make up for yesterday being late I've gone early today with our window. Hope you're not feeling too down after yesterdays depressing news - Watford sacking their 5th manager in just over a year and there was something else ... oh yes, tier 4 (groan).
Lets see if we can take your mind off that and go back to 1995, the club is only 10 years old and those conifers in the background are already 12ft tall. I think there are 58 people in this pic which poses two questions, did they all play and if they did how did we fit them all in to the clubhouse after especially as we hadn't built the extension yet ? - the mind boggles. Almost unthinkable, especially in the current circumstances 🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️🙆🤷‍♂️
