Darts Evening – Fri October 14th 2022

On Friday 14thOctober 36 players took to the Oche at our darts evening accompanied by spectators, lights, food, drink and much amusement.  It was good after all the trials & tribulations of the last two years or so to feel the buzz of the Clubhouse full with members and guests enjoying themselves with good humour and light-hearted ‘competition’.  The players were organised into 3 teams of 12 each team ably led by Daphne, Rose and Kevin (i.e. players who were, with the exception of Kevin, proper Darts players!).  Each player had 10 ‘appearances’ at the Oche and the highest scoring player from each team, went into a 3-dart shootout!

‘Deadshot’ Tony Howard from ‘Team Daphne’ (above) proved he was just as accurate with the darts as he is with a bowls wood and won that three man final against Paul Healy (below left) & Geoff Drew (below right) – Our erstwhile President & MC (Kevin Clarke) made sure he was in a least one picture!!!! .

The highest scoring individual visit to the board was from Joan Luther, also from Team Daphne, who hit 101; we won’t tell you what her next score was!
