Seasons Festivities including December 6th Santa’s Grotto

December saw the Club celebrating the forthcoming festive season; The men & the ladies enjoyed meals at local restaurants – Men @ ZAZA & the Ladies at the Kings Arms respectively; there was Santa’s Grotto on Saturday 6th December; Bonus prizes at the last Bingo session of this year & smiling faces (& Christmas jumpers) at the regular Whilst morning.

The following captures some of the atmosphere at these events:

Saturday December 6th saw our Bowls Club transformed by the magical skills of Pete Batchelor & his team of Christmas ‘elves’ into Santa’s Grotto – we wanted to make sure that Santa visited the Club before he was distracted in his very busy time later in December; we even made sure that he had the correct postcode of HP4 2AL entered into the Reindeer’s SatNav!!

There were lots of goodies available along with a raffle, tombola, guess the weight of a Christmas Cake & the number of sweets in a jar. A good number of people enjoyed the morning and made Santa & his elves feel very happy.  Santa also recognised the tremendous contribution by club members who manned the stalls, provided refreshments, sold raffle tickets made cakes and filled the sweets jar!  As he said afterwards, just before departing for the North Pole, a ‘Fantastic team effort by one & all’.

Mobile phones were on hand to capture the flavour of the morning – and are displayed in the gallery below:

Not forgetting some of the helpers

A happy elf and some snowball accuracy needed!!

Here’s hoping Santa will call again next year!

A few images in the Galleries below taken at the Men’s meal at ZAZA, Bingo & the Whist Morning- it looks as though Santa delayed his departure to visit our Bingo session a few days later!
