We are delighted to say our Club has been nominated for an award at the Hertfordshire Service To Sport Awards being held at Hatfield University on Tues Dec 9th. The Club has been nominated in the category ‘Bestnewcomer Club Award’ for our Junior section. Fingers crossed.
Another small landmark for the club as we reached 2000 hits for this year with over a month remaining. It’s good to know we are getting many regular visitors to the site and this only encourages us to keep it up todate as often as possible. The Club was knocked out with the success of their first ‘friends & family’ afternoon with over twenty people taking to the green last saturday. Our Junior members brought along their parents, relatives and friends for a an introductory session which included tuition, informal competition and refreshment.
Many impressed us with their skill and enthusiasm which we hope will mean us seeing them back on the green again next Spring.
We have also had members from Hawridge & Cholesbury Cricket Club along with Berkhamsted Tennis Club trying out the game over the past two weeks so our recruitment plans for next season are well advanced at this stage. A big thankyou to all those responsible for making these events possible.

In a quite incredible finish over at Townsend our men pulled off an amazing comeback to defeat Potters Bar and lift the Jones Cup for the first time.
After a bright start our men were trailing by 8 shots with two ends to go when they secured four shots on one rink and three on the other to be only one shot behind as they went into the last end. After a series of near misses and tit for tats Berkhamsted won each rink by one shot to win the overall match by a single point.
Our Supporters went bonkers !
