Gala Day is fast approaching – Monday 25 May. This promises to be the biggest and best yet so come down and give the day the support it deserves. The Raffle prizes have to be viewed to be believed, our team have really pulled out the stops so please spend spend spend and you may end up with an eye watering prize. We are also delighted to have many sponsors on board this year lending their support with some very generous offers and donations

Raffle tickets are on sale, there is a list of prizes from local companies on the bar, more has been promised and will be added as they are received.
We have 28 teams taking part coming from all over the County and some from neighbouring Counties. There will be one team from Berkhamsted

New Members evening which was to be held on Friday 29th May has now been switched to Saturday 30th at 10am. This is due to the Men playing the County Inter Team 2nd Round at home to Watford or Abbots Langley. We hope all our new members will join us for an informative morning where we answer all their questions and give out as much information as possible.

Last Friday saw the first week of the SKILLS LEAGUE getting lift off, glad to say 15 members had a go. All of them thought it was fun but a great challenge. It takes about forty minutes to do all six skills if your playing in pairs.

Feel free to have a look at the sheets to see what you have to do and once you want to post a score you have to have it witnessed by a playing partner who also fills in their name on the sheet. The old press box is now being used to put your completed score sheets in on top of the bookcase at the far end of the Clubhouse. The skills league score sheets are kept in the bottom draw of the stationery drawers by the main front door.

All scores will be transferred onto a laptop spreadsheet and run out each week for posting on the main notice board. There will be monthly winners and overall season winners. You must post a minimum of two scores each month to be in contention, a maximum of four is encouraged and acceptable.

For any public member who missed our OPEN DAY you still have the chance to swing your arm and send a bowling ball across our green – Every Tues & Thurs 2pm to 4pm along with Fridays 6pm to 9pm throughout MAY. We also have Junior sessions every Friday 4pm to 6pm

All the equipment is provided FREE, all you have to bring is a flat soled pair of shoes (like trainers) and an open mind. With the help of our members and qualified coaches we can teach you the basics of bowls whilst letting you play and having some fun.
